Turnip Cafe and Comicpalooza proudly present Turnip Cafe Monthly which includes both qualifying and non-qualifying events for the Comicpalooza 2025 finals! Test your skills, strategy, and sportsmanship with Smash Brothers Ultimate.

Events will include Koopa Academey and Power Up Bootcamps, which are not qualifiers for the Comicpalooza 2025 Tournament. These are fun training events to practice and hone your skills. Koopa Academy and Power Up Bootcamp are $15 to sign up. Participants in these non-qualifying events will automatically be entered into an exciting raffle, giving three fortunate winners a chance to secure a coveted spot in the thrilling Comicpalooza Fight Club finals!

The Bob-omb events will occur quarterly leading up to Comicpalooza 2025, and winners will qualify for participation at Comicpalooza 2025 Finals. Bob-omb Quarterly events are $20 to sign up.

Comicpalooza and CP365 will provide Passes to Comicpalooza 2025 for the Top 5 ranked players at the end of the qualification, based on an ELO Point System*, managed by Turnip Café. These Top 5 players will be seeded automatically into the Comicpalooza Fight Club event at Comicpalooza 2025.

*ELO is the following:

• Initial Ratings: Players start with an initial rating, typically around 1200.
• Outcome Prediction: The system predicts the outcome of a match based on the difference in ratings between the two players. A higher-rated player is expected to win against a lower-rated player.
• Updating Ratings: After the match, the ratings are updated based on the actual outcome. If the lower-rated player wins, they gain more points than if the higher-rated player wins. The amount of points gained or lost depends on the difference in ratings and the system's specific parameters.
