Comicpalooza teamed up with Club Kaiju for the Friday Night Rave! Club Kaiju is a leading force in the Anime + Pop culture community for nightlife events in Texas! Attendees dived into the best fusion of comic and anime dance/japanese club music for an unforgettable experience!

KLOVR
Returning favorite, KLOVR, performed all weekend long and hosting demonstrations, workshops, and/or discussions. No dance experience was required!
Texas All-Star Wrestling Matches
Texas All-Star Wrestling returned Friday night! Attendees cheered on for their favorite wrestlers as they battled it out for the Comicpalooza Dragon Belt.
The Classical Theatre Company
The Classical Theatre Company (CTC) is dedicated to boldly re-envisioning classical drama on the stage through engaging and enlightening plays that brings them new life and relevance while maintaining the integrity that the works deserve. CTC is the only professional theatre company in the Houston area that produces year-round classical drama and were at Comicpalooza!
ComedySportz
The interactive and improvised comedy show that pits two teams of improvisers against each other in a hilarious battle of wits was at Comicpalooza! Using audience suggestions and willing volunteers, CSz Houston professionals created short games, scenes, and songs on the spot!
Dim n Wit
Two Fairy brothers trying to make the world smile ONE HUG AT A TIME. Who are these guys? Dim N Wit, have been entertaining crowds, lines, and themselves since 2010. They have brought their unique brand of kindness and smiles to numerous events across multiple states.
Drew Heyen
Drew Heyen has been performing magic since 1985. He had a very slow beginning, performing very simple tricks for friends and family (a traditional start for magicians). His real interest developed when he began playing Gin Rummy with assorted friends on a nightly basis. Drew found that he was very comfortable with a deck of playing cards. Starting with flourishes, he quickly moved on to more complicated effects, giving an audience the impression that he could cause a deck of playing cards to respond to his every whim.
El Airiachi
Attendees got to witness the best show that has never been seen and experienced the air and the fury of the El Airiachi!
House Party Comedy
The House Party Comedy hosted Andy Huggins (America’s Got Talent), Barry Laminack (ESPN, WB), Tre Tutson (FOX), Tess Vergult (FOX), and Mason James (Funniest Comic in Houston, 2023) where they performed stand-up comedy with Jacob Calle (MTV, TruTV) as your host! Hailing from Los Angeles, House Party Comedy is the Project X of comedy that’ll tear the roof off of GRB! There were free concert tickets for those who participated!

The ultimate dance battle arrived at Comicpalooza! Attendees could watch and cheer as 4 underground villains and 4 prospect heroes duked it out with their dance moves for the spot as ultimate champion.
Elixir JPop Dance Group
Welcome to the wonderful world of Kaigai Idols! Kaigai idols, or overseas idols, are people who present themselves with the JPOP formula while performing. Dancing, singing, wota chanting - the whole works! Attendees were treated to a magical show put on by Elixir, a Houston based idol group, with feature groups Sworn Oath and See.ker!
Quadball
Quadball is based on Quidditch from the Harry Potter series. It is a fast-paced, contact sport created in 2005 and played in over 39 countries with a unique mix of elements from rugby, dodgeball, wrestling, flag football and other sports. Attendees could learn the basics and try out chasing, beating, keeping, or even seeking!
Sassterpiece Theater Presents DUNE (1984)
Arrakis. Dune. Desert planet. Premier movie-mocking group Sassterpiece Theatre returns to Comicpalooza for their live comedy commentary of DUNE! No, not DUNE. Not even *that* DUNE. The Sassters were riffing and cracking wise against the ultra-rare “Alan Smithee” version of what was formerly a David Lynch movie. Fans got to end their convention day with 90 minutes of belly laughs
Shōgeki Sumo
Dive into the thrilling world of Shōgeki Sumo, where we're flipping the script on sumo wrestling! Our head coach and Oyakata, Nicholas Ton, is on a mission to bring out the samurai warrior in all of us, focusing on discipline, strength, community, and the art of combat. Gone are the days of misconceptions and stereotypes; we're here to showcase sumo as the dynamic and "super real" martial art it truly is.
While stepping into the ring wasn't mandatory, Shōgeki Sumo audience members who signed waivers were able to participate in live Sumo matches under our supervision to get a feel for what Sumo Wrestling is!
