Tabletop Tournaments at Comicpalooza

Double Exposure hosted multiple qualifying tabletop tournaments for regional and national championships all throughout the weekend. New to this? No sweat, the team was available to give you a download on all the rules before each tournament. Winners received trophies and a copy of the game along with access to the championship round at CharCon 2024. Tournaments included:

Finger Guns Tournament:
A fast-paced game of strategy, negotiation, and pure hilarity - battle royale style. Craft your plan, convince the crowd to join in, then count down and draw your finger guns. Hand gestures show everyone’s actions and targets. Eliminate players with pistols, dynamite, and power shots, or stand to the side and lasso up an ally. Last player standing is the winner!

Munchkin Tournament:
Slightly modified tournament rules for standard Munchkin play, no expansions. Two preliminary rounds followed by Elimination rounds.

Hearts:
Hoyle rules will be used for single-player Hearts. Two preliminary rounds followed by Elimination rounds.

Where friends and family can enjoy spirited fun…or join chummy games of competition.

Are you feeling lucky? How about strategic? Do you enjoy games of chance or skill? Games have an extraordinary way of bringing people together around an otherwise ordinary table. At the tabletop gaming area, enthusiasts could sit, think, laugh, and play new and old games all weekend long.

The Board Game Library hosted by The Adventure Beings (TAB) intrigued the curious mind and gave gamers the chance to browse and play a game from a vast library collection.

Ultimate Werewolf Houston was riddled with opportunities to meet new people, build trust in them, backstab them, and then metaphorically eat/evade them at night as a werewolf/villager. Onsite there was dedicated space for people to experience the ever-popular game. Our team of moderators was ready to teach you, so, whether you were sneaking or sleuthing, you could join the fray.
